What does it take to run an innovative software company? Quite simply, great people.

PullUin software hires the best designers, programmers, and artists to create effective, yet creative, digital solutions. Our team is passionate, experienced, highly talented, and ultimately focused on how to make your learning experience something to remember.

In addition to our core team we are supported by a collective of leading designers and artists who help us gain a much broader array of creative expertise.

Mary Derby
President

An experienced instructional designer who understands that great educational software depends upon great content. Mary manages to synergize the tech, art, and content areas of pullUin into one big party (that goes on into the wee hours) that delivers exceptional software. She also provides the dip.

Prior to pullUin, Mary gained essential managerial skills in the healthcare field and has over seven years of instructional design and project management experience. Mary holds a B.S. in Medical Technology and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Technology for Training and Health Administration.

Jere Glover
Vice President and General Counsel

Jere Glover served as an attorney in the Nixon, Ford, and Carter administrations, and as a Senate-confirmed Presidential appointee in the Clinton Administrations. Following his May 4, 1994, Senate confirmation, Jere served as the Small Business Administration's Chief Counsel for Advocacy until January 21, 2001. He also serves as Executive Director of the Small Business Technology Coalition, the largest organization of Small Business Innovation Research companies in the United States.

Jere obtained his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis and an L.L.M. in Administrative Law and Economic Regulation from George Washington University.

Jeremiah Dibley
Director

Jeremiah’s roots as a middle school science teacher support his endeavors at pullUin of improving science education through the development and use of videogame simulations in the science classroom. He has extensive experience designing professional development programs for teachers, and in 2002 received a ‘National Science Foundation Research Experience for Teachers’ grant.

Jeremiah holds Bachelor's degrees in biology and education, and holds a Master's degree in natural science education. He self-medicates his introvert tendencies by eating M&M’s.

Tabitha Lurz
Technical Director

Tabitha Lurz coordinates the technical development of educational programs by bringing the efforts of content experts, artists, and programmers together. Their collective vision is presented in imaginative forms using powerful tools such as Virtools, an authoring application that allows rapid creation of 3D applications including models, animations, images, and sounds. Her experience with Virtools and other languages and technologies allow for the creation of a efficient and useful product.

She also serves as the project leader in the development of several applications such as the online virtual nursing assistant experience being developed for the Department of Agriculture. Ms Lurz holds Bachelor's degrees in computer science and mathematics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of South Dakota.

Nicholas Willan
Content Coordinator

Nick comes from a background of executing eye-tracking research protocols on the 3M Transportation Safety Research Center driving test track through his education and research opportunities with the University of South Dakota. Understanding the different aspects of research and the importance of documentation and organization Nick is primarily involved with updating website content, developing research surveys, writing research grants, updating the pullUin blog, developing user manuals, and bug testing programs developed by pullUin. He holds Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English and a Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering from the University of South Dakota.

Nick also enjoys a bit of Kung Fu fighting on the side in case anyone is up for a match!

Paula Seep

Office Manager

Paula does a little bit of everything for pullUin: answering phones, human resources, payroll documentation, mailings, and invoicing and billing for the Handheld Birds program. Basically she helps us keep our heads screwed on so they aren't rolling around. Having owned her own business for 9.5 years, she definitely knows what's needed to keep things going straight. Paula is a mom to a 25-year-old daughter and is one of Mary's neighbors.

Krista Scholten
Developer / Artist

A film graduate of Yale and NYU, Ms Scholten has several years of experience creating promotionals, documentaries and fiction films, and has worked as an editor on several feature films. She is currently finishing her MFA in sculpture and is thrilled that her varied education may actually be applied to her job.
