This conference addressed how game and game technologies can meet health

inquiry-based educational simulation games.

pullUin software of Vermillion, South Dakota recently received an
endorsement from the National Geographic Society for their PDA (personal
data assistant) software Handheld Fieldguides: Birds of North America.
This software integrates illustrations and written content from
the National Geographic Society to assist birdwatchers, citizen
scientists, educators, and students throughout the continental United
States to both identify birds and record information about sightings.

pullUin software has been selected by the Evangelical Lutheran Good
Samaritan Society to work with the University of South Dakota to
produce online clinical skills training for their nursing education
program.

A South Dakota SBIR Phase 0 grant has been awarded to pullUin software
to gather data and prepare a SBIR Phase I grant application to design,
develop, and test a prototype simulation game module. This game
will teach science concepts and integrate alcohol abuse prevention
content that targets the unique needs and challenges of our Native
American population.
